The WO-Man
Maria Nikolopoulou, prominent Owner of the noted boutique SOHO – SOHO, with stores in the hottest spots of Greece (Athens: Kolonaki – Glyfada – Kifissia, Spetses , Mykonos), decided five years ago to create her own line of Handmade Sandals under the brand name SOLANGE.
The Myth
Elena Syraka, a renowned designer with her own line of fine jewellery, with artistic exhibitions all over the world, after two years of fruitful cooperation with SOHO – SOHO, has taken over the design of SOLANGE SANDALS.
After her most recent exhibition at Benaki Museum where she presented her latest collection “LABYRINTH”, inspired from both the Minoan and Mycenaean civilization, Elena took the next step, incorporating elements into the Sandals, thus pouring herself into Solange.
The Legend
And then it happened. Solange became Solange by Elena Syraka.
The first chapter of this union is inspired by “Mycenaean Lady”, the most outstanding wall painting of Mycenaean civilization. More specifically it streams from the lines of the dress of “Mycenaean Lady” and incorporates leather parts from snake and pony skin combined with brass elements and gemstones.
Everything is Handmade and all the materials are hypoallergenic and nickel-plate free.
